The Proposed Project
Red Earth Cree Nation is proposing to upgrade the existing residential roadway networks within two separate land bases known as Red Earth #29 (Natacam) and Carrot River #29A (Carrot River). Carrot River #29A is approximately 2 km north of Red Earth #29. There are typical residential subdivisions within each core area. The proposed project will consist of upgrades to roads, drainage, and ditching in residential networks in the community core areas.
Site development includes stripping topsoil within the roadway ditches. Construction activities will consist of excavating/filling existing roadways and ditching to design elevations, replacement of existing culverts, application of aggregate and surfacing materials to the road surface, and application of topsoil and seeding to the ditching.
