The Proposed Project
The Red Earth Cree Nation Teacherage Replacement project involves the construction of four new teacherages within an existing subdivision area immediately north of the school. One of the teacherages will be constructed on a lot previously occupied by a 4-plex building that was recently demolished, and the other three teacherages will be located on undeveloped lots at the north end of the cul-de-sac. A drainage swale will also be constructed from the north end of the cul-de-sac and continue approximately 400 metres north to the discharge point.
Site preparation activities will consist of tree clearing and topsoil stripping along the drainage swale routing as well as the three lots to be developed at the north end of the cul-de-sac. Construction activities will consist of lot grading, construction of four new teacherage buildings, and excavation of the drainage swale to design grades.
