Proposed Project
Black Lake First Nation is proposing a roadway upgrades project that will consist of road structure and ditching upgrades to all of the Black Lake First Nation's roadways, which includes all residential roads within the Black Lake community and the Black Lake First Nation - Stony Lake subdivision.
The project activities will include excavating/filling existing roadways and ditching to design elevations, application of aggregate and surfacing materials to the road surface, and application of topsoil, seeding, and erosion control blanket to all ditching. Erosion control measures will be installed as required during construction and will remain in place until sufficient vegetation has re-established. All topsoil within the roadway right-of-way to be upgraded will be stripped and temporarily stockpiled for the duration of construction. Following completion of the work, the topsoil will be replaced, the area will be seeded, and an erosion control blanket will be applied across all locations where topsoil replacement and seeding occur.
