Muscowpetung Saulteaux Nation - Solid Waste Transfer Station

Muscowpetung Saulteaux Nation is proposing to construct a new solid waste transfer station (SWTS) on agricultural land within SE 10-21-17 W2M. Construction will consist of an aggregate surfaced pad area that will contain diversion and storage bays for recyclable materials and hazardous waste (with secondary containment) as well as an elevated platform for transfer of household refuse into waste containers. Drainage will be managed through perimeter ditching surrounding the 2.2 ha constructed pad. A 350m access road will also be constructed from the site which will provide entry from HWY 640.
