Convert a gravel area into a parking lot – 3 Wing Canadian Forces Base Bagotville

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project. The present project involves carrying out the work, as well as providing the labor, materials, and equipment required to redevelop a gravel area located immediately west of Building 55, following the relocation of the containers currently stored there. The objective is to convert this newly cleared space into a functional and safe gravel parking area. Without being limited to the following, the work includes stripping the grass and topsoil from the currently undeveloped portions over an area of approximately 3,250 m2, the removal of approximately 200 m2 of asphalt pavement, installing one or two catch basins connected to the existing stormwater system, and adding granular materials. The total surface area of the parking zones, including the portions already developed, will be approximately 6,450 m2.
