Mihkoskiwakak Nehiyawak Walking Path to Healthy Living

The Red Earth Cree Nation is proposing to construct an 8 km asphalt pathway on Red Earth Cree Nation reserve lands. The trail will connect two of the Nation's reserve lands, Red Earth 29A to Red Earth 29.

The proposed trail will include benches and lighting installations along its alignment.

Construction is proposed to commence Spring 2026.

February 22, 2025 – The public comment period on the project is closed. Housing Infrastructure Communities Canda is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
