Skownan First Nation Waste Site Closure and Eco-Depot Facility

The waste disposal areas on the existing waste disposal site will be closed by consolidating waste into one area and covering with compacted soils from the site and fencing. An Eco-Depot recycling transfer station will be constructed with a operator trailer, bulky materials compounds, sea containers, roll-off bins, recycling bins, access road and truck turnaround construction.


Latest update

August 19, 2025 – Indigenous Services Canada issued its notice of determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
