Skownan New Child and Family Services Prevention Building

Project is proposed to encompass acquisition and placement of pre-fabricated (modular) buildings for all four capital assets at a 414 sq m fenced site; CFS office, heated garage, and two 1580 sq ft, 4-bedroom temporary housing units. Water and wastewater servicing requirements will be met through the installation of decentralized water and septic holding tanks. Hydro service hooks up will be to an existing main line. Project will also include parking lot with electrical to support parking stalls.

July 3, 2026 – The public period on the project is closed. Indigenous Services Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
